Home - Connect to Support

If you are finding day-to-day tasks at home more difficult, you may want to think about the types of equipment available to help make life easier. You can visit the Millbrook Healthcare website for more information and to look at their useful tools to help you consider what equipment you may need.

Phone: 0345 127 2931 (Open Monday to Saturday 8:30am to 6pm)

You can also see how equipment can help people in our YouTube videos.

Technology Enabled Care

Technology Enabled Care allows you to call for help in the event of an emergency, if you’re not feeling well or if you’re anxious about a situation, such as an unknown caller to your home.

There are various different alarms, sensors and equipment which can suit a variety of needs and offer reassurance to you and your family and friends carers.

NRS Healthcare, working on behalf of West Sussex County Council and the NHS, offer free installation and 6 weeks free for residents with short term immediate needs, such as if you are being discharged from hospital and need a little extra support.  If you have longer-term needs you may receive your service for free for longer.  Your health and social care professional will be able to advise you of this.

If you do not already have a health and social care professional working with you, you can find out more about by speaking to our Adults Services Carepoint team at

Phone: 01243 642121 - 9.00am-5.00pm, Monday-Friday.

Services for customers not eligible for TEC services funded by West Sussex County Council

Many people find that after the 6-week period, they want to continue with the reassurance and peace of mind offered by technology enabled care to them and their families and friends, and so choose to keep the service and equipment they have installed for a reasonable weekly fee.  If you choose to do this, you will also be able to benefit from a Responder service which is chargeable separately.  The responder service is ideal if your family & friends carers live some distance away or might not be able to respond to an emergency call.

For details of the service offered by NRS Healthcare, visit the NRS Telecare services website or,

Phone: 01903 948200 (between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday).
