- Housing-related spending
The financial assessment for short stays in residential homes will consider housing-related costs that you have to pay by law. Examples of these costs and the evidence you will need to show us include the following.
• Your most recent council tax bill.
• Evidence of any rent or mortgage you pay.
• If you get Housing Benefit or Universal Credit, we need to see evidence of the amount you have been awarded towards your rent and service charges.
• Evidence of household costs, such as water and sewage rates, home insurance, ground rent and service charges. We need to see the bills.
