Our Adults’ Services Customer and Carer Group meets with officers to discuss issues important to the group and to provide feedback to Adults’ Services to influence service development and quality.

The Autism Partnership Board comprises autistic people, family and friend carers, representatives from health and social care, and community services. The Board aims to improve the lives of autistic people and their families.

The West Sussex Learning Disability Partnership Board comprises people with learning disabilities, family and friend carers, and staff from health and community services. It works to improve the lives of people with learning disabilities and their families. The Board is co-chaired by a self-advocate and the Cabinet Member for Adults’ Services.

The Minorities Health and Social Care Group works with the county council and NHS Sussex to enable the voice of people from diverse communities to influence the development of health and adult social care services.

Senior leaders meet with members of the Adults’ Services Customer and Carer Group and the Minorities Health and Social Care Group three times a year to discuss issues of importance to the groups and to gather feedback to inform service development.

The Voluntary and Community Sector Collaborative Board comprises members from voluntary and community sector organisations and Adults’ Services senior officers. It works to support the delivery of the key priorities of our Adult social care strategy 2022-25 and promotes co-production and collaborative working.

Champions in our commissioning teams work to ensure co-production/ involvement is embedded in our commissioning processes.

A design panel involving key stakeholders, will meet as required to consider new projects and service developments to measure their alignment to a set of principles developed with people who use services, family and friend carers, staff and stakeholders.
