- West Sussex Wellbeing
West Sussex Wellbeing is a county-wide adult health improvement programme delivered in partnership between the county council and district and borough councils.
The service provides free support and advice to people aged 18 years and over who live or work in West Sussex. This covers a range of areas including:
- stopping smoking
- reducing alcohol consumption
- achieving and maintaining a healthy weight
- NHS Health Checks to eligible people
- staying or becoming more physically active, including strength and balance programmes to prevent falls
In 2023-24, 9,087 people accessed the wellbeing programme for support (an increase of 13% from 2022-23 ). 40 to 54 year olds were the highest users of the service (28%) with more women than men seeking help (65%).
